Editing Showreel
Instagram Content
Louise_andallthingshome
I edited a series of lifestyle videos for this creator’s 700k+ Instagram account.
Louise would provide large amounts of raw footage, which I then shaped into polished short-form content, optimised for social media. This included editing both a 1 minute 30 version and a 30 second cut-downs of each video for use across different platforms and posting formats.
The edits focused on maintaining a calm, satisfying and visually engaging tone throughout. I carefully selected bespoke music, colour graded the footage and added on-screen text where required to enhance pacing, clarity and audience retention. The final videos were designed to feel seamless, aesthetically consistent and aligned with Louise’s established content style.
My editing support allowed Louise to spend more time filming and creating new content, while also helping her build a backlog of ready-to-post videos that could be scheduled during busier periods.
YouTube Content
Rose and Rosie
I produced this vlog-style video as part of the creators’ regular YouTube content.
The creators have a very specific edit style and tone of voice within their content. I reviewed their channel thoroughly before beginning the edit to ensure I was able to match their comedic visual style and timing.
Quick cuts and changes in framing kept the pacing quick and punchy, and I used funny images, motion graphics and bizarre visuals to perfectly match the other content on the channel - ensuring that audiences noticed no difference in quality or “vibe”.
I edited the content with a focus on driving retention and engagement, inline with the project requirements.
YouTube Content
Daniel J. Layton
I produced this YouTube “Q&A” video as part of the creator’s regular content.
I ensured the video matched the creator’s other content in style, pacing, tone and colour grading, to achieve seamless integration into his channel.
As this video also contained a sponsored segment, I ensured the content adhered to all advertising guidelines and regulations.
I edited the content with a focus on driving retention and engagement - inline with the project requirements.
Event Summary
Bath Spa
For Bath Spa University I produced a degree course summary video using footage from all of the events and projects worked on during the run of the course.
I put together a vibrant and engaging video that highlighted each event in a way that advertised all that the course offered.
Commercial Content
FlyTask
I created this video as part of the brand’s social media marketing strategy.
I was asked to edit the raw footage into a video that was fun, engaging and most importantly that explained how FlyTask works in an easy to understand way.
It was really important to the brand that I matched their brand “vibe” in the tone and stylistic design of the video.
I used a mix of fast paced visuals and sound effects to keep audiences interested, as well animated text designed to encourage audiences to engage with the video via the comments.
Taster Trailer
I am Belmaya
Using the raw content from the full length documentary, I edited a taster-trailer for the filmmakers to use for submissions to film festivals, demonstrating the main narrative and key moments within the film.
